The video is kind of long but the huge Tetris pieces are fun. It would be cool if there was a way to make rows dissolve like in the game.

Jennifer Parsons is the owner of Tiny Pine Press, a LA-based design studio that creates everything from cool handmade business cards to gorgeous wedding invitations. Basically anything that you can think of that can be printed on paper, Jennifer can do it cool and all with a nice personal touch. Also impressive is that Tiny Pine Press has had a full commitment to being as green as possible in the interest of the current environment and our future. Tree-free, cotton and locally handmade papers as well as recycled and sustainable materials are always offered and encouraged. There is little waste or overage printed and they have always printed letterpress with soy ink whenever possible. In addition to being her own boss at Tiny Pine Press, she’s also our good neighbor and she came to visit us the other day with a nice gift of her homemade and ever-so-delicious carrot cake. Jennifer rules!

Believe us, we can’t hold it any longer either. It’s been a couple of months since our previous post and this “something quite fantastic” is still in the works so we don’t want to spill the details just yet. It’s close but we don’t want to be too sloppy about it. We appreciate your emails and we look forward to relieving you of all the curiosity soon. So enough dribbling on this post, in the meantime, check out these creations from our Dutch pal, Meike:
You’ll find these at the H&M store in Barcelona.

As you may have noticed or felt by now, the four of you who actually visit the site, JAAAHWS has been remiss in posting lately due largely in part by the toil of our day-to-day. Though we’ve been neglecting the site some we are still very much in action and trying to keep our bite on JAAAHWS. We hope to share with all of you (the four of you) something quite fantastic in the coming weeks. Stay tuned!

A year ago, JAAAHWS was in its infancy stage, and between the daily grind and inadequate sleep and weekends it seemed all time was consumed by making and packaging and shipping these huge plastic fangs that have now found homes in various parts of the world from Glasgow, Scotland to Sao Paolo, Brazil. Last year also marked our participation in such events as the “Halloween Family Fun Festival” at The Arboretum where hundreds of adults and children had a chance to “FEED THE MASSIVE AND EVER-MUTATING FLYTRAP-WITH-FANGS THING“. Seeds were also sown @ Comic-Con where a group of us rebelled against thousands of unbathed dungeon masters and their troll minions, trudging across miles of nerdy Warcraft bliss. To our delight and astonishment, slowly yet without a doubt we were getting noticed and people would shout, “Look honey! Those huge fangs!” The smiles, laughter, friendly comments, and gentle nods of recognition toward these huge plastic fangs have been nutritious to our growth. Every week, YOU – our supporters – sent in funny stories/ideas and photos which we would research and sometimes post… So, it’s been busy as usual, but probably the most important thing is that it’s still fun and that’s what we’ve always been about!
So in recognition and celebration of the good times, new things learned, and the friends we’ve kept, made, and bitten off during our growth, and heck, while we’re in that loving mood of Valentine’s Day, we’re marking the prices down just to say thank you and we love you.
Of course JAAAHWS wouldn’t be here today if not for the generous support, inspiration, and friendship of many people. Special shouts out to Rick Baker, Kazu Tsuji, Austin Perkins, simfonik, Paige, Christa, Nala, Toy Break, Creature Features, Jurgen Heimann, Mikey, Mom and Pop, Mo, Dr. Nakamura, roastbeef, My Blurry Slow Ride, Eddie Yang, Alton Ellis, David Gwennap, and Lance Willis.
Look out for more fun stuff this 2009! Peace & loveism.
