A year ago, JAAAHWS was in its infancy stage, and between the daily grind and inadequate sleep and weekends it seemed all time was consumed by making and packaging and shipping these huge plastic fangs that have now found homes in various parts of the world from Glasgow, Scotland to Sao Paolo, Brazil. Last year also marked our participation in such events as the “Halloween Family Fun Festival” at The Arboretum where hundreds of adults and children had a chance to “FEED THE MASSIVE AND EVER-MUTATING FLYTRAP-WITH-FANGS THING“. Seeds were also sown @ Comic-Con where a group of us rebelled against thousands of unbathed dungeon masters and their troll minions, trudging across miles of nerdy Warcraft bliss. Even so, to our delight and astonishment it became apparent, slowly yet without a doubt we were getting noticed. The smiles, the laughter, the friendly comments, and gentle nods of recognition toward these huge plastic fangs have been nutritious to our growth, and every week you – our supporters – sent in funny stories/ideas and photos which we had time to research, post, or otherwise scrap. Nevertheless, it’s been busy just as it is today, but more important is that it’s still fun.

So in recognition and celebration of the good times, new things learned, and the friends we’ve kept, made, and bitten off during our growth, and heck, while we’re in that loving mood of Valentine’s Day, we’re marking the prices down 20% just to say thank you and we love you.

Of course JAAAHWS wouldn’t be here today if not for the generous support, inspiration, and friendship of many people. Comic-Con, the nation’s biggest comic-book convention, began Thursday where more than 125,000 people attended over the course of the four-day event.  Many came dressed up as their favorite characters from films, comic books, cartoons, toys… and others barely came dressed at all.

This year, JAAAHWS invaded San Diego and took a bite of the hearts and minds of many from the sold-out crowd on Saturday 26 July 2008.

Fortune reports that the iPhone 3G is still a scarce item to find. Lines continue to form at many stores, and as of this morning, 21 states were sold out of the iPhone.
The states reporting no stock on hand were Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin.

Despite long activation delays, Apple announced on Monday that they had already sold 1 million iPhones over the weekend since its launch on Friday.

JAAAHWS got their bite on the new iPhone 3G just in the nick of time (after waiting 2.5 hours in line @ the Glendale Galleria on Sunday 12 August):
